Opening for Digital Collage / Vernacular Photography Projected Exhibition by UWF Photography Students
The UWF Digital Photography class, taught by Valerie George, were invited to create a projected exhibition of works that directly responds to two adjacent exhibitions at the Pensacola Museum of Art; Land Star: Photographs by Richard McCabe and Cut Up / Cut Out (an upcoming exhibition). Works of art were created by students who consider photography as both a space for new media and what moves beyond the object, as they focused on elements of collage, and drawing with light. These works focus their content within the genre of vernacular photography, or photographs that depict everyday life and subjects.
