Twig Initials
You can use so many natural objects from your own backyard to be creative. Gather sticks or twigs according to the size you'd like to make your letters - they can be small decorative pieces or large pieces to hang on the wall. Arrange the twigs into the shape of your initial by breaking pieces or selecting pieces shaped like your letter. Attach separate pieces with twine or hot glue. Wrap the twig letter in yarn, decorate with paint, or simply leave natural if you prefer. Add a loop at the top or a hook onto the back to display.

Envelope CitiesMake your neighborhood out of collaged envelopes! Start by collecting different sizes and colors of envelopes - you may even have some laying around from old stationary sets or opened letters. Open the flap and decorate either side of the envelope to look like a house by adding roof shingles onto the flap, doors, and windows. Collage several together and connect with drawn roads, add trees, neighbors, pets, cars, etc. We can't wait to see your envelope renditions of Pensacola!

Tic Tac Toe
Have some fun on rainy days by upcycling a tic tac toe game! Collect 10 bottle caps - either metal or plastic - for the game pieces. Separate into two groups of 5, and decorate each group separately with paint, sharpies, buttons, glitter, or anything you'd like. They don't have to have X's or O's, but make them distinct. Draw out a 9-box grid onto a sheet of paper, and get to playing!

Shadow Puppet TheaterMaking a theater for your shadow puppets may be easier than you think! Start with a large cardboard box. With a box cutter, cut out a rectangle on the front and one side of the box. Use the leftover cardboard to add decorations to your theater, or to make the shadow puppets. Paint the box with your desired color or design. Adhere white paper or fabric, such as an old sheet, to the inner lip of the front cutout. Cut out shapes from the cardboard and glue them onto sticks for your puppet show. Put a lamp or large flashlight into the back of the theater box, and use the side opening to bring your puppets into view. Enjoy the show!
